Law Firm Profile

At Sherritt Greene Immigration Law Centre you won't find lawyers who just know the law - their knowledge goes above and beyond the basics.

Michael Greene had direct input in to Canada's Immigration Act, appearing before the House of Commons and Senate. He also teaches the immigration course within the Faculty of Law at the University of Calgary.

"We do almost all of our work on fixed-fee pricing. So we can tell clients exactly what it will cost and at what stages they will have to make payments."

The combined knowledge of immigration and refugee law means the firm can tackle every kind of immigration related case imaginable. "We cover every area of immigration. From individual to corporate work permits, to challenges, to decisions. We represent clients at both federal court and immigration tribunals," says Greene. "Right down to people who want to bring their mother to Canada."

Michael Sherritt and Michael Greene at one point practiced independently – but found they were talking to each other every day. It wasn't long before they realized there would be an advantage to joining forces.

Today, with nearly a decade of practice together, they take an integrated approach on every file. "We know how to work together as a team. We mesh well," says Greene. "We tackle problems and difficult files both formally and informally."
