Biography

Lomax was drawn to personal injury law in his first year out of law school, when he first discovered how great an impact he could have on the lives of his clients. He still vividly remembers one of his early cases. A client whose husband had died from injuries in a car accident was being put through the mill by the various insurance companies involved.

"We were able to not only assist her, but put a significant amount of money in her pocket after the insurance company had essentially told her that they would do nothing for her," Lomax recalls. "It was at that point that I knew that this was what I wanted to do - try to help people recover what they were entitled to."

Working as an associate at Aston, Berg, Kennedy and Morrissey taught him the importance of exceeding client expectations, not just by delivering good end results but throughout the entire legal process. From there, he went on to co-found a boutique litigation firm, Morrissey Lomax, and then to strike out on his own in 2001.

Today he puts his bachelor's degree in Economics to work as a businessman heading up his own firm, while still enjoying making a real difference for clients whose lives have suddenly been upended by circumstances outside their control.
