Kania Buttigieg, Professional Corporation is a boutique law firm specializing in family law matters. We are located at 173 Queen Street West in the heart of downtown Brampton in the service commercial area. We chose to move into this area to be apart of a growing and developing community.

We understand and appreciate that the breakdown of your family relationship can create extreme emotional and financial stress. Our goal is to assist you in resolving your family law matter in a manner that respects your values and objectives.

Our approach is to try and settle the case using whatever collaborative means may assist in the most cost-effective way possible. Only a handful of lawyers are certified to offer this service, which uses various techniques to settle matters without ever stepping foot in a Courtroom. Ms. Kania and Mr. Buttigieg are in the latter stage of completing their certification in Collaborative law so as to provide this additional service to their clientele. This background is consistent with Ms. Kania's Masters in Law, which she received in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ie. mediation, arbitration and negotiation) from York University (Osgoode Hall Law School).

Both Ms. Anita K. Kania and Mr. Paul C. Buttigieg have extensive family law experience, appearing at all levels of Court in Ontario an average of 2-3 days per week.

Ms. Kania is in her 14th year of practicing law and Mr. Buttigieg is in his 6th year of practicing law. Ms. Kania is also admitted to the Bar of New York and practiced in New York City for 3 1/2 years before returning to Canada to continue her practice.
