Edward Prutschi is an established and highly-respected member of the Ontario legal community. After receiving his law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School, where he participated in the Intensive Program in Criminal Law, he articled for the firm of Goodman, Philips, and Vinberg (now known as Goodman’s LLP). Following this experience, he opened his own practice, focusing his efforts on criminal and quasi-criminal litigation and defence. Eventually he joined with Leo Adler and Boris Bytensky to form the boutique firm that is now known as Adler Bytensky Prutschi Shikhman.

Mr. Prutschi has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario, including the Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Appeal. He has also been a faculty member for the Law Society of Upper Canada’s Criminal Law Bar Admissions course, where he taught law school graduates about criminal procedure in preparation for their official entry into the profession. He is a highly sought-after guest speaker in the field of criminal law, and has made presentations to many organizations, including the Ontario Bar Association, the Commons Institute, and Western Law School. He is also in demand as a legal analyst on a number of radio and television outlets, and has appeared in area papers for his participation in high-profile criminal cases and as a commentator on the subject of criminal law.
