When people turn to Strype Barristers LLP, they can count on reliable, thorough and trustworthy legal advice. This starts from the first consultation with the firm which is free and carries no obligation.

From there, Strype can then quickly assess and openly discuss the potential case with the prospective client. "You have to be confident at the end of the interview that the prospective client understands the problem and what they are facing in terms of going forward in litigation. You have to give them a very good basis for why you say 'yes", and why you say 'no'." Strype also explains what he is looking for. "Basically what we have to show is that the doctors that performed the work fell below the standard of care of everyone in the field."
Strype never rushes to sign people up with his firm, he wants people to have a solid understanding of the legal and medical process involved. For good reason, he is also selective in choosing who the firm represents. "We try to give the best results for each client. But that means you don't accept everyone. You limit your cases to those you think you can do the best work on," says Strype. "I can't be all things to all people."
By being upfront about the amount of time it will take to close a case, Strype is also able to ensure that expectations are reasonable. "Clients must understand the timing they will face. This way they don't get upset if something doesn't happen in six months, or eight months or even years," says Strype. "This way they aren't mislead and can better handle the withers of the process."
"The only thing that the client really needs to know is that you are committed to driving the case to a conclusion as soon as reasonably possible and that the case is not languishing in your office awaiting your attention while you work on other files," says Strype. "The essence of this work is to drive the litigation to a successful conclusion."
